individualisation- final piece

This is my final product from an angle. Creating it from card board was enjoyable as I was able to cut into it easily and shape it into this geometric structure. I also cut small rectangle shapes for the windows which fit in well; but they don't seem to appear very clear on the screen. I could have been more ambitious and used another material such as wood.

This is the living room. I think the use of Photoshop is quite strong although my client said it looks too 'loud' because of the cardboard and interiors combined. In comparison my client said the LED's transform the room into a tranquil space for chilling out.

I think the kitchen was the most successful room as the cupboards blend in with the cardboard, and seems like it has been placed well, similar to how a cupboard is fitted into a kitchen wall. I could have improved this by refining the cardboard slightly as it doesn't seem like it's completely straight.
The floor looks wooden which is what I was trying to achieve although it's just cardboard.

The lighting in this room could be improved as the flash of the camera looks too bright where the sink is. I could have also cropped the top part of the blind out to create a more professional look.
The use of Photoshop is quite strong as all the interiors such as the toilet, sink and mirror seem as though they have been fitted in well.

individualisation- ideas

I researched various modern shed designs; the one above was inspiring because of its unusual shape, and its minimalistic geometric design. The fact that it has an outside area for a sun lounger or canopy utilizes the space in the garden; This gives you the option to sit outside or inside in the evening, and enjoy the garden.

I wanted my design to blend with nature so I included vines hanging from a plank of wood which falls in front of the entrance, and also along the top and sides of the shed. I could have improved this by showing how the vines hang from the plank of wood. I wanted the shed to seem camouflage by using natural colours such as brown and green.
In my floor plan, I have clearly shown where each room has been placed. I have designed 3 rooms- the living room, toilet and kitchen. I think I could have added more chairs in the living room for guests.

catalysts- final outcome

I used plastic bottles to create my final piece. I enjoyed working with this material as it was simple to cut into and you are able to shape it into any form. The bottles have been hung from various heights to create an asymmetrical sculpture. I had slight difficulty attaching the lights to the sculpture as they are delicate, and the bottles are at different heights. I could have improved the second image by photographing it during the day to make the image brighter.
I like the angle I took the first image as all the bottles look compact and the colours seem very saturated. On the other hand, I could have cropped out the card board as this distracts the unusual shapes of the bottles. I could have used another material other than card board to attach the string to the bottles to create a more refined piece such as wood or plastic.
